This album is a concept album based on an absurd made up story from the back of an adult magazine. It was the psychedelic colored frothing mouthed dog that really drew me in though. That being said this album is thematically nothing more than that and n̲o̲t̲ ̲a̲ ̲s̲t̲a̲t̲e̲m̲e̲n̲t̲ ̲o̲f̲ ̲a̲n̲y̲ ̲s̲o̲r̲t̲ ̲o̲n̲ ̲h̲e̲r̲o̲i̲n̲.

I recorded this album from the summer of 2021 to the spring of 2022. These sessions consisted of full band improv jams spreading insanity into the night, contact mic jams with big amps, tape looping / overdubbing on a broken Panasonic shoebox cassette recorder, and of course some junk metal recordings. These recording sessions were then chopped up and reassembled in dizzying and oftentimes even disturbing ways.

During all steps of this creation process a lot of thought was put into what I can learn from classic noise albums. Noise should be gross. There is an intrinsic mystery behind discovering some of the most vile music you have ever heard and being perplexed by the motives of the creator. Another conclusion I worked with was the strong element of story telling behind noise. Given the open endedness of free sound there naturally exists an inclination to give it a theme or concept. In this sense you could consider this a concept album based on the story of the hound but I think its all an attempt be as vile as possible for the sake of vileness.

I cannot praise this album enough. This album is absolutely terrifying! The many starts and stops creates this very h settling tension. Each start expands on the stopper idea previously. It’s like the music equivalent of walking through thick fog while passing out multiple times throughout trying to find a place to orientate yourself. There may or may not be something sinister in that fog, but you don’t want to stick around to find out. Bought the vinyl so I summon the fog demons through spe showhornwithteeth
