A split between two rising forces in the noise scene. KPG opens the split with an impeccable opening rising triumphantly out of nothingness, enveloping the audience in a throbbing drone tainted with stabs of noise. KPG continues this mastery of noise throughout his side of the release staying afloat through a constant struggle between peaceful ambience and losing oneself to the sadomasochistic drive of overload our brains with every sound in the world all at once screaming in pure being. KPG toes these murky waters well paying homage to the heroes of noise who have stepped out before him. In my opinion, one of KPGs greatest strengths is curating a sound that pays homage to classic noise while sounding remarkably modern at the same time. Close your eyes and let KPG take you on a journey through the use of heavy loops and synthesized drones. Witches of Malibu closes out the album with rhythmic tracks full of sputtering electronics that bring to mind Skott’s earlier work that fans know and love. What differentiates this material from Skott's earlier work is the absolutely unhinged nature of the music. It is true that it exhibits rhythmic elements, but these rhythmic elements are a far cry from anything danceable in the same way that the machinery of a munitions factory may display some perceivable rhythm. All and all this is a great effort from both parties and we are proud to host this offering at Cruel Symphonies.

I cannot praise this album enough. This album is absolutely terrifying! The many starts and stops creates this very h settling tension. Each start expands on the stopper idea previously. It’s like the music equivalent of walking through thick fog while passing out multiple times throughout trying to find a place to orientate yourself. There may or may not be something sinister in that fog, but you don’t want to stick around to find out. Bought the vinyl so I summon the fog demons through spe showhornwithteeth
